The concept for Mary Nemeth Designs began after Mary's 10th wedding anniversary trip.  On this anniversary trip, Mary, who has always loved fashions, colors, and designs, had her eye on a few handbags in the boutiques where she vacationed. 

While her husband encouraged her to purchase a bag, Mary began to realize each bag differed a bit from store to store.  Some bags were well made but without style or selection.  Other bags had the look but without the solid construction.  When Mary was lucky to find well made bags in the right styles, most often the prices were extraordinary. 

Encouraged by wonderful feedback and overwhelming demand, Mary's entrepreneurial spirit started to take over.  After more than a year of learning the ropes and finding the right team, Mary launched marynemethdesigns.com in March, 2006.

So Mary went home without a bag.  Later back at home, Mary couldn't stop thinking about trying to create a line of bags that would combine quality, construction, and style.  Two weeks later, Mary set out to find a talented seamstress, wonderful fabrics, and quality accents.  After finding the right components, Mary's vision started to come together.
